Stuart is a partner with Tandem Group, Inc. and has been a management consultant most of his professional life – starting out designing and implementing large-scale software development projects, progressing through IT strategy development, and finally managing billon dollar merger integration programs. His work involved the translation of business strategy into actionable programs with measurable outcomes.

 

In his twenty plus years of management consulting experience, Stuart has worked in a number of industries including transportation, oil & gas, utilities and telecommunications. His clients have included companies such as Allstate, AT&T, British Petroleum, Chevron Texaco, and Verizon. Examples of his experience include:

  • For one of the largest oil and gas companies, he helped to reengineer their administrative processes associated with the production of oil and gas to achieve annual benefits in excess of $250 million.

  • For a government sponsored enterprise (GSE), he established and ran a program management office (PMO) to oversee a $400 million business transformation program.

  • For a mid-size energy company, he reduced corporate overhead by over 33% ($65 million) while establishing a new holding company and shared services organization.

  • For a large telecommunications company, he helped to redirect over $1 billion in annual technology investments to ensure an alignment between these investments and the company’s business strategies.

  • A large communications company was able to achieve annual savings of $100 million as a result of a data center reorganization strategy developed by Mr. Diamond.

Stuart has been a partner with CSC Index in the Strategic Services Group and was Vice President of Merger Advisory Services for El Paso Corporation. Earlier in his career he was a Senior Manager for KPMG Peat Marwick in Information Technology Planning. Stuart is a summa cum laude graduate of Ohio University with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a Masters of Science degree in computer science from Ohio State University.
